iScript™ IV First-Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit (gDNA Removal)

iScript™ IV First-Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit is a proprietary mixture of all materials required for first-strand cDNA synthesis, including genomic DNA (gDNA) removal. This optimized RT Reaction Mix (4X) contains dNTPs, and a balanced mixture of Oligo(dT)₂₀ and Random Primers. The RT Enzyme Mix contains iScript™ IV Reverse Transcriptase and RNase Inhibitor. The cDNA synthesized by this kit can be directly used for downstream applications such as qPCR detection, cloning, 2nd strand synthesis, and hybridization.

The iScript™ IV Reverse Transcriptase features genetic modifications that abolish RNase H activity to achieve thermal stability, allowing the RNA template to remain intact during reverse transcription for enhanced cDNA yield and integrity. The iScript™ IV Reverse Transcriptase is engineered to work under higher temperatures (50-55°C), which can further facilitate to resolve the secondary structures and high GC problems of RNA. The kit is designed to provide reliable, consistent, and fast cDNA synthesis in the presence of inhibitors found in a wide variety of samples.
